The Palestinian community in the Swedish city of Gothenburg celebrates the Handalah ship

The children were in the center when Handala came to Gothenburg. Palestinians really showed up, and the children entertained themselves with both singing and dancing for several hours. And clearly, proud parents photographed away, and didn’t mind the pictures of the kids being published. Several other Palestinian associations are also attended by women, such as the Palestinian Women’s Association.
Afterwards, it was the children who were again in focus when various players spoke to the assembly. The most shocking thing was getting the latest news on the living conditions of children in Gaza. The blockade of Gaza has to be the most absurd man-made political move in history. Or maybe the most absurd thing is that Israel has been able to bar two million people for 16 years and bomb completely innocent children when it suits them – and the world won’t lift a finger to stop the madness.
